Two girls prepare an extra special Christmas feast, under the light of the Christmas Moon.
Lucy Unwin, Writer
I wrote The Christmas Moon to capture a sense of when my daughters were around the age of the sisters in this story. We live by the seaside now, but at that time we lived in a house that backed onto farmland, and we spent plenty of time leaning on the back gate trying to spot rabbits. The littlest one (now 5, so no longer a toddler) has always been an enthusiastic moon-spotter, and the bigger one is still her own version of a Christmas elf, leaving beautiful presents for everyone (and everything!) I normally write for older children, so this story feels very personal and it’s just wonderful to have Santa read it to my girls, as well as everyone else’s!
