The Littlest Shepherd, by Siân Rowland

Alina is furious when she is cast as as shepherd instead of an angel in the school nativity play. Can her mum help her come to terms with her new role?

Sian Rowland, Writer

When Siân was a little girl she was always cast as the shepherd in school plays because her teachers said she looked like a boy with her short hair. When she grew up she became a teacher herself and always cast against type for the nativity plays in the hope of redressing the balance! She still works with schools and writes stories too and the best thing about writing stories is being able to choose the endings herself. Siân thinks everyone should write stories no matter what their age. You can find about more about her at
